Watch AWENA learn how to read
I have created the guide & the playbook while I was trying to teach my daughter Awena how to read & perfected it from a linguistic point of view based on our reading sessions. The joy of seeing Awena read her very first words out loud and seeing her eyes light up, realizing she can read was absolutely priceless – and it’s closer than you think.

FAQ’S
Frequently Asked Questions.
Can the guide be purchased only by parents?
No, the guide was created for anyone who would like to help their children learn how to read. You can purchase the guide as a grandparent, caretaker, kindergarten educator, or school teacher.
My child is more than 6yo. Can I still get the guide?
Not all children learn how to read between the ages 4-6. However, the learning process remains the same, so the guide will be equally useful.
Can my child use the guide on their own?
The guide is a set of instructions, techniques and tools on how to help the child read. Hence, the child won't be able to read the guide, but what they will be able to use on their own is the AWENA Playbook. They will be able to play with the happy characters cards, learn the alphabet and do the exercises.
My child has dyslexia. Does the guide still help?
While this guide was not primarily designed for dyslexic children, there are visual elements, such as friendly character alphabet letters that can make reading more accessible and enjoyable for dyslexic children. These elements may contribute to enhancing understanding and retention, making the material less overwhelming. It is worth noting that more research is needed on the effectiveness on the guide for dyslexic children. To combine our efforts, we welcome all the feedback from the parents who have used the guide with their children with dyslexia to help inform future improvements and help more and more dyslexic children with reading.
